It was an honor speaking at November’s Ladies, Wine & Design event in Raleigh. Ladies, Wine & Design was started by design superstar Jessica Walsh as a monthly salon to discuss a wide variety of topics relating to creativity, business, and life. Wonsupona Founder Molly Davis Lind spoke on personal storytelling and the importance of a personal brand.
While it usually limited to six members, eight women attended, with careers ranging from designers to business owners to fashion bloggers. One of the main topics we explored was answering the question, “What do you do?” in a way that piques interest and tells a story. While this question can seem limiting, it also has the power to persuade, influence and connect you to the person asking it – if answered in a way that is creative. We also discussed the importance of values, hints to successful online messaging and how to create a bio.
