OS20 - A multiplex lateral flow device for on-field identification and serotyping of Foot-and-Mouth Disease virus - Santina Grazioli - Download as a PDF or view online for free
This document describes the development of a prototype multiplex lateral flow device (LFD) that can simultaneously detect foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) and identify its serotype (O, A, or Asia1). The test takes only a few minutes without any specialized equipment. Performance of the multiplex LFD was comparable to antigen-ELISA testing. Further validation is underway in endemic areas, along with developing an LFD to identify SAT1 and SAT2 FMDV serotypes.
