That led us to a Belgian vegetable tanned leather with exquisite properties. The leather is produced with a matte black, velvet touch finish. It has a substantial thickness which means the belts structure is well balanced when combined with the additional metal hardware. The leather is vegetable tanned, which means it is produced in the most natural way possible. This beautifully preserves the organic past life of the material, so occasional growth marks or surface imperfections are occasionally visible.
