This is a gorgeous 1930s era “teddy”, also called a “camiknicker”, because it combines a camisole top and knicker panties in one piece. The piece is made of sheer ivory colored chiffon crepe silk that has applique flowers embroidered onto it. There are five tiny mother-of-pearl buttons securing the front and back flap-pieces between the legs. It fits loosely, but it should fit a medium size as it needs to be loose due to its fragile nature - please note the following measurements for fit: Bust: 36” / Waist: 36” / Hips: 40” / Length: 38” from the strap to the crotch, measured flat Condition: This piece is in very good condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors - it looks like it saw little or no use and was well stored over the years. Probably a piece saved from a wedding trousseau. This is a beautiful pair of camiknickers - fabulous silk chiffon, very ethereal.
