This classic sterling silver long handled baby rattle features a large sphere at the end which contains a bell. The sphere is attached to a 3.5" loop handle which has a small opening at the end. The rattle has a very pleasant melodious sound when shaken - an audio file is available upon request. The rattle is in good condition showing the signs of age and use expected in vintage items, including minor scuffs and dents to the surface along with slight areas of tarnish. There are also some scratches on the handle, best seen in photo 5. The piece has not been monogrammed. As seen in the accompanying photos, the rattle displays beautifully and the noted conditions contribute to its great vintage vibe. The rattle measures 4.5" in length and is approximately 1.375" at the widest point of the sphere. It was made in Taxco and is hallmarked "MEXICO - TC - 54" and "925". The piece weighs in at just under 36g. This charming silver rattle would make a wonderful baby gift, or would also be a great addition to a collection of vintage sterling.
