Silver Ridge is an extinct plantation, now an unorganized territory (township) in the South Aroostook townships of Aroostook County. Silver Ridge Plantation was organized from the East half of Township 2 Fifth Range West of the Easterly Line of the state (T2 R5) (part of Sherman) in 1863. The organization was reconfirmed in 1868, 1878, and 1883. Silver Ridge set off land to Sherman in 1870. The plantation organization was repealed in 1941, and Silver Ridge has since remained an unorganized territory.[1] [2]
