Description

Heavy-gauge, Omega-shaped, extruded aluminum PEX heat transfer plates for under-floor and subfloor radiant heating applications. Made in USA.
Box of 20 (Omega-shaped, extruded aluminum heat transfer plate for 1/2 PEX tubing (all types - A, B, C or brands). Pre-drilled holes on both sides for easy mounting. These plates can be used for underfloor heating (between the joists, secured to the bottom of the subfloor) or sandwich type (between subfloor and finished floor) radiant heating applications. Extruded aluminum plates have a thermal mass which is 7 times greater than the stamped version and offer superior heat distribution. Larger thermal mass also means fewer boiler start-ups, resulting in less equipment wear.Note: plates may have small burrs on channel edges from miter saw cutting - use medium/fine sandpaper or a round file to smooth out and prevent scratching of the PEX pipe. Preferred installation method: secure plates to the mounting surface with screws along the same center line and hammer in the PEX with a rubber mallet. Made in the USA.
