Morimoto The new ONNA by Halfsumo collection is here - Especially designed for the modern day female samurai, the ONNA collection features the right mix of form and function, with unique Halfsumo style Irezumi designs and the perfect fit for demanding full contact sports.  Onna-bugeisha (女武芸者, female martial artist) was a legendary type of female warrior belonging to the Japanese nobility. These women engaged in battle alongside the samurai, and were unmatched in their speed and dexterity. With the use of their sharp blades they would dispatch easily of enemies of all sizes. We removed approx 2 inches from the bottom of the spats to avoid any annoying bunching by the ankles; this turns out to be particularly useful against those pesky teammates who will forego mounting to attack your foot; and before we forget, we also added a non intrusive internal drawstring, because although form fitting, we don't want anyone to just pull them down accidentally while rolling. The female spats specifically feature a higher waist band for extra comfort and fit to prevent sliding down of the garment while training.  Fits true to size.
