Önling No 1 is a yarn made of merino wool and angora. The yarn is extraordinarily soft and delicate, and available in many beautiful colors. The yarn is certified according to Responsible Wool Standard. 75% Merino Superfine Super 100s Wool and 25% Angora. Weight: Medium worsted Sold in 50 g balls. 50 g = approximately 197 yards (180 meters). Suitable for needle size: US 6, 7 and 8 (4 - 5mm). Gauge at US size 6 (4mm) needles: 18 sts x 25 rows. Origin of the yarn: Önling cooperates with a family owned yarn spinning mill in Italy, that produces this delicate yarn for us. This yarn is carded with air using a special carding technique that makes the yarn light, airy and super soft. The yarn is produced sustainably according to organic standards. This yarn is made from an extraordinary mixture of Australian Merino Super Fine 100’s wool, mixed with carefully selected angora fibers, which are finer than most cashmere fibers. The angora rabbits are bred gently eating only natural food, according to the best scientific methods. Only the finest and highest quality angora is used for our yarn.
