As the name suggests, I designed these socks to wear with my walking boots. The simple cable pattern provides extra cushioning and makes them so comfy to wear! This pattern should work with any worsted- weight yarn, but I would recommend a super-wash merino. The socks pictured were knitted with a single 100g ball of The Uncommon Thread Lush Worsted yarn (colour “Ripe Plum”).
The socks are knitted toe-up using Judy’s Magic Cast on (so no seaming or grafting) and a German short-row heel. This pattern is designed for the magic loop technique.
