This is one of those really terrific basic pieces that you can wear again and again in a variety of ways, characters, and costumes. The body is a boatneck drop-shoulder design, flaring from the waist and ending around the knee. The sleeves are inspired by the Irish Leine, with a drawtsring running up the top of the sleeves to cinch the length up into gathers, or let them sit straight to the wrist. All seams are felled, so there are no raw edges and no seam allowances to tickle your skin on the inside. It's just so simple, it becomes wearable in so many ways; but it's interesting enough to be different and not boring. It's great for Renaissance faires, by itself or with a pretty bodice and a flower wreath; wood elves and druids; barbarians, with leather and fur accessories; witches or the dark or light variety. The short length makes it a great layering choice for summer wear, to reduce the amount of fabric around your legs. 100% cotton with rayon cord drawstring. Machine wash warm with like colors, tumble dry low, dry in the sun if you can! Model is 5'6" with a 38" bust, 33" waist, 43" hips. This will best fit someone with a 34" bust to a 40" bust.
