This perennial vine, originating from Europe and otherwise known as Hedera helix 'Glacier', English Ivy 'Glacier', English Ivy, and Common Ivy, possesses delicate, hunter-green foliage marked with eggshell-white etchings. Fast-growing, this broadleaf is the ideal choice for an evergreen that can climb. Adding color and height to any space, this drought-tolerant shrub does not require a lot of work and is simple to grow. Best Locations For Growing Glacier English Ivy Glacier English Ivy can tolerate varying levels of light, from low light to bright direct light. That noted, this vine does best in bright indirect light. With an affinity for average temperatures of 45 to 80 degrees F and mild humidity of 40% and above, this lovely vine will thrive in almost any room. Take heed, however, when choosing a room that is frequented by little fingers and paws; this striking house plant is toxic to people and pets. Glacier English Ivy Sunlight Requirements Since this broadleaf shrub prefers bright indirect light, place it in a south-facing, east-facing, or west-facing window. To prevent sunburn, place Glacier English Ivy at least 3-5 feet away from any south-facing windows.  Glacier English Ivy Care A 6-inch pot, filled with loamy, well-drained soil is a fine choice for starting off this evergreen vine. An average indoor potting soil amended with peat moss and perlite will adequately retain the moisture this shrub prefers. To shape this perennial, pruning is required, preferably during the months of spring.
