CP9002 Century Patterns Multi-Sized Pattern for Edwardian Camisole with Straps from c.1904-1908. Bust 30, waist 22 inches to bust 48, waist 40 inches. A versatile Edwardian camisole or corset cover featuring narrow straps of fabric, lace or ribbon and a full front with dipped waist that can be gathered into an optional peplum or finished with a lace insertion with ribbon. The camisole can be made from plain fabric edged with lace or from embroidered flounce fabric with a worked lace border along one edge. Any kind of lace decoration or tucks can be used. Complete instructions are given for handsewing and machine sewing an authentic Edwardian reproduction, as well as period heirloom sewing techniques for attaching lace in the illustrated booklet that accompanies the paper pattern. The 28 page booklet also contains historical notes on Edwardian underwear in general and camisoles in particular. Century Patterns are copied from rare, antique originals, adjusted to standard modern pattern proportions and graded from Misses’ size 6 to 26 (Bust 30, Waist 22, Hips 32 inches to Bust 48, Waist 40, Hips 50 inches). Care is taken to retain as much of the period fit and silhouette as possible. Each pattern is accompanied by a booklet of information packed with instructions and notes.
