Set of antique candlesticks. Both candlesticks are made of copper: the base of red copper, the top of yellow copper. The foot is ribbed and ovate; it stands on 4 small claw feet. Above that a square bar decorated with metal plates with curls and balls. On top a ribbed saucer and pin for burning a not too large pillar candle. Size (including pin): 27 x 7 x 7 centimeters (=11x3x3 inch) Weight: 2 x 300 grams Circa 1880s Gothic Revival The candlesticks are in good used condition: The claw feet turn a bit; some remnants of copper polish and candle wax; and one candlestick has the top resting loosely on the peg and bottom, unlike the other candlestick where top and bottom are joined together.
